6. Data Retention

  • Audio Files: Uploaded audio files and processed outputs are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours after processing is complete. We do not retain copies of your files unless you explicitly ask us to do so.
  • Payment Records: Invoices and transaction records are retained for 10 years as required by German tax retention obligations (Handelsgesetzbuch — HGB and Abgabenordnung — AO).
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated analytics data is retained in anonymized form indefinitely. Individual-level analytics data is retained for a maximum of 26 months.

7. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When such transfers occur, we ensure an equivalent level of data protection is maintained through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission, in accordance with Art. 46 DSGVO.

Our third-party service providers (such as Stripe and Google) may transfer data to the United States and other jurisdictions. These providers are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or we have SCCs in place with them.

9. Audio File Handling

Your audio files are encrypted during transmission (TLS 1.3) and during processing. Uploaded files and processed outputs are stored temporarily and automatically deleted within 24 hours after processing is complete. We do not retain copies of your files unless you explicitly ask us to do so. We never share your audio files with third parties without your explicit consent.

10. Third-Party Services

We engage the following third-party service providers to facilitate and improve our Service. Each provider has been carefully selected and is contractually bound to process your data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection law:

  • Stripe: Payment processing. Your payment data is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Google (OAuth): Authentication via Google Sign-In. When you choose to log in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. No additional Google services are used.
  • Umami (Self-Hosted): Privacy-friendly analytics hosted at umami.kai.gg. Umami is a self-hosted, open-source analytics platform that does not use cookies and does not track users across websites. All data is anonymized and no personal data is shared with third parties.
  • YouTube (IFrame API): Embedded video player used on select pages (e.g., tutorial content). YouTube may set cookies when you play embedded videos. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where available.
  • Telegram: Communication channel for customer inquiries and support. Messages sent via Telegram are subject to Telegram's privacy policy.

11. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and similar tracking technologies to provide and secure our Service. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept essential cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

For non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics), we obtain your prior consent via our cookie banner. You may change your preference at any time.
